Why a New Venue?
Although we ran from my old house I felt that I needed somewhere larger for the business and with the ability to make all the bedrooms en-suite to make our guests stay with us much more enjoyable.
So, I started the search and two year's down the line and after seriously considering 6 potential new places I came across Finca Bonavista. It was then time, with the help of my architect, to prepare paperwork for my Casa Rural Tourist Licence and the Planning Application.
Work was going at pace then COVID hit and work came to a halt, but I was able to do the garage, games room and TV room but was quickly running out of building supplies.
After more than a year of waiting and a visit to the Mayor, on 10 December 2020, the Town Hall finally gave me the Construction Licence to start work, this meant with COVID restrictions easing I could get my builder in to demolish and start the rebuild of the kitchen and bedroom No 5, with help from friends and family the new place was not 100% finished but ready to host returning guests by Oct 2021.
Since then we have been busy putting the finishing touches to the new house and our guests love it, more space in the bedrooms, luxury bathrooms and the numerous things to do in the evenings.
As well as Biking Abroads all inclusive holidays, We are now able to cater for those of you who want to ride your own bikes over and go touring in the area, on a B&B basis. An evening meal option is available but there are also numerous fantastic restaurants to choose from in Ontinyent, should you want to make your own arrangements.
What's new?
Finca Bonavista has ample garage space for us to keep the bikes here at the house, and also has the extra room for our tourers to keep their bikes in a secure undercover space too. For my guests added comfort there will be a large changing area and toilet/wash facilities.
There is a great Games Room, with a Pool Table, Dart Board, Air Hockey and Table Tennis. And now our new BAR and tap room!
if you want to watch TV (UK) or a good film, there is a large TV lounge with comfy seating and a large screen and fab sound system.
Of course, it is in Spain, so there is a pool for use between May and October, unless you are very brave, as it is only heated by the sun. Along with, plenty of areas to just relax enjoy the surroundings and a lovely terrace for al fresco dining, refreshments.
